Sending Out Spring In Style
The 11th month of the year was as big as they come. We wound back the clock for Fridayz Live, laughed until we cried with Carl Barron, cheered for The Wildcats and Wiggled with… well, The Wiggles! It was an incredible month and a great warm-up for what’s to come in the summer months ahead. Events to come in December and early 2024 include 50 Cent, Harry Connick Jr., the United Cup, blink-182, Matchbox Twenty, and much more! Bring it on!
Top Chef
The AHA Hospitality Awards for Excellence was held in November. WA’s leading venues and hospitality staff attended and were recognised for their achievements, including our very own Executive Chef Paul Beard! Chef Paul was awarded the Head Chef Award for 2023. Congratulations Chef Paul, and to all the other winners and finalists on the night.
Supporting Local
Ausmusic T-Shirt Day was celebrated across the country on Thursday November 30th, with everyone encouraged to show their support for the local industry and wear their favourite Aussie music tee. RAC arena staff threw their support behind the cause, coming to work with their tees on and donating to the music industry charity, Support Act.
Global Month of Giving Gets Going
ASM Global’s Global Month of Giving kicked off in mid-November, and RAC Arena has jumped on board to support the company-wide initiative in a variety of ways. Some to note include a group of staff participating in and raising money for Movember, other staff will be volunteering their time at Ronald McDonald House Charities, and all staff have been made aware that we are again accepting gifts and non-perishable food items for The Salvation Army Christmas Appeal.
We also launched our reimagined charity raffle, the Concert Superpass raffle, to help raise funds for The Salvation Army, and this is due to wrap up on December 11. If you would like to purchase a $10 raffle ticket and potentially win a double pass for each concert at RAC Arena in 2024, click here.
Cyclin’ and Chargin’
In partnership with our naming rights partner, RAC, we proudly announced the installation of our new Smart Bike Hub. The Smart Bike Hub is located outside our administration entry on the Milligan St side of the venue, and allows for the public to safely lock their bike, or use the Hub to charge their e-bike or e-scooter. The best part about is that it’s completely free to use!
Thank you, Salvos
In November, we proudly picked up the inaugural ‘Heroes of Hope’ award from our long-time community partner, The Salvation Army. This special award was introduced this year & recognises businesses or individuals who they see as ‘Heroes of Hope’. This is an absolute honour to receive and we would like to thank The Salvation Army for the recognition and congratulate all of the other nominees and winners.
