The Octagon Returned Down Under

The Octagon returned to RAC Arena for the highly anticipated UFC 305, and what a huge weekend it was! The main event of the day saw Dricus du Plessis successfully defend his UFC middleweight championship against Israel Adesanya. The co-main event between Perth local, Steve Erceg and New Zealand’s Kai Kara-France, ultimately ended in Kara-France taking home the win in the first round.

Thank you fight fans for bringing an incredible atmosphere and making it a truly remarkable weekend!

Basketball to Big Voices

In what was an exciting development for basketball fans throughout the state, the NBL1 West Grand Finals took place in a double-header spectacular at RAC Arena. Kicking the day off was the Women’s Grand Final, resulting in the Rockingham Flames going from three points down to beating the Cockburn Cougars (97-81) and taking home the championship. The whole crowd was on the edge of their seats for the game of the season as the Mandurah Magic secured the championship with a 91-89 win over the Willetton Tigers.

Later in the month we welcomed back One Big Voice, Australia’s largest and most inclusive children’s choir. Over 7000 children from 150+ primary schools came together to sing positive and uplifting songs in an experience they will never forget!
