$55,000 raised for community partner, The Salvation Army WA
RAC Arena’s Concert Superpass charity raffle offered one lucky winner access to each concert taking place at the venue in 2025.
Running over a 6-week period, participants could purchase $10 raffle tickets to go into the draw to win two tickets to every concert next year, plus a $1000 food and beverage voucher to use during the prize period.
This year’s lucky winner will be able to attend events such as Bryan Adams, Rufus du Sol, Paul Kelly and plenty more!
RAC Arena is pleased to announce $55,188 was raised, which is being donated to the venue’s long-time community partner, The Salvation Army, taking the annual initiative’s donation total to more than $700,000 since it’s inception in 2013.
The funds will go towards supporting a number of important causes:
- Help 48 families to cover essential household bills to ease the pressure over Christmas and remove the choice between paying the bills or buying presents.
- Provide 65 people with a Christmas food hampers filled with treats and staples so that people facing hardship does not have to go without this Christmas.
- Provide 110 nights of accommodation for parents and children who are currently facing the prospect of no home this festive season.
Warren Palmer from The Salvation Army explains, “We congratulate the winner and may the next 12 months be full of memorable experiences. To all who participated in this opportunity seeing the aligned benefit of supporting the Salvos and the community, we simply say, thank you! Your support will make an incredible difference.”
RAC Arena’s General Manager Michael Scott added, “The Salvation Army continue to play a vital role in supporting those in need within the WA community. Christmas can be especially difficult, and due to the generosity of those West Australians, families assisted by The Salvos will be able to breathe a little easier. Congratulations to Lisabeth, who is in for an impressive year of music, and we look forward to welcoming her over the next 12 months.”
This year’s winner, Lisabeth was very happy by the result, “I’m over the moon with this win and I look forward to going to as many concerts as I can with my family including Katy Perry, Cyndi Lauper and Kylie Minogue. The money generated by this competition goes towards a great cause.”
