The Australian Event Awards Lifetime Achievement Award is one of the most prestigious awards in the event industry. It is awarded annually to a recipient who has spent a lifetime going above and beyond to make great events a possibility. And there is no one more deserving of this award than the ASM Global CEO, Harvey Lister.
The Lifetime Achievement award, presented at the Australian Event Awards Ceremony last night, recognises great Australian events industry figures that have made significant contributions to events in Australia. Mr Lister has certainly done this and more!
RAC Arena is proudly managed by ASM Global. After the 2019 merger of AEG Facilities and SMG, Harvey Lister became CEO of ASM Global (Asia Pacific), making him responsible for overseeing ASM Global’s portfolio in Australia, New Zealand, India, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.
Prior to this, Harvey Lister spent the past 45 years alongside his business partners, perfecting the presentation and management of every event imaginable: sport, music, conventions, exhibitions and more. To date, Mr Lister has been involved in the presentation of over 40,000 major events – and the list is still continuing!
With a wealth of knowledge and practical experience, Mr Lister knows the ins and outs of every aspect of the events industry.
Peter Rix, Co-Chair of the Event Awards Judging Panel, had only praise for Mr Lister’s work in the industry. “Harvey Lister is an outstanding Australian who has devoted his entire working life to the business of successfully managing venues and presenting events across Australia and now the world! I could not think of anyone more deserving of this acknowledgement.”
