RAC Arena will usher in a new era of its famed charity raffle by offering one lucky winner access to each concert on the 2024 calendar at Western Australia’s home of live entertainment.
As part of its annual fundraising drive for longtime community partner, The Salvation Army, RAC Arena has created an exclusive Concert Superpass that can only be won by entering the raffle.
The Concert Superpass will include two tickets to each concert next year, including the sold-out Blink-182 and Matchbox Twenty shows in February, plus a $1000 food and beverage voucher for use during the prize period.
The raffle entry period will run from October 30 – December 11 2023, with tickets just $10.
The Concert Superpass represents a refresh of RAC Arena’s previous Golden Ticket prize, which has raised more than $590,000 for community partners since its inception in 2013.
Last year’s campaign drummed up $57,000 for The Salvos, which had a tangible impact on Western Australians currently impacted by homelessness and families struggling through the cost-of-living crisis.
Warren Palmer from The Salvation Army says the sum equated to crisis accommodation for 192 people, as well as 1,000 nutritious meals and 400 Christmas hampers.
Mr Palmer says, “The Salvation Army shares a mutual desire with RAC Arena to do good in our community bringing much needed support to those who need us the most. Right now, our communities are feeling extreme pressure points with costs of living making it very challenging just to survive. We are witnessing a 60 per cent increase in the need for intensive support and a 40 per cent increase in those seeking immediate relief. With this need being greater than ever, our partnership with RAC Arena has and will continue to help build our capacity in doing all we can in meeting this heartbreaking level of distress that we are seeing.”
RAC Arena general manager Michael Scott added, “We’re so proud of the ten year legacy our annual charity raffle has in our community, and what we have been able to achieve together with the generous people of WA. The Salvos play such a pivotal role in providing for those in need within our great state, and we look forward to once again supporting them and their vital work.
